Barbara Blayney Hallmark
Barbara Blayney Hallmark, loving mother of five children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, passed away at the age of 81 Saturday, February 20, 2021, in her daughter’s home, surrounded by loved ones, in Washington.
“Barbie” or “Barbalinski” as she was fondly called, was born September 24, 1939, in Washington, to the late Orren Alexander and Ivie Mae Wood Blayney. Barb is survived by her five children, John of Florida Keys, Alex of Painesville, Ohio, William of Gainesville, Va.; Lyin of Stratham, N.H., and Jacquelyin “Jacki” of Washington.
She attended administrative training in Washington, D.C., and worked for Washington County as a job placement officer for many years.
Barbie will be remembered for her fiery red hair, vibrant spirit and how she enjoyed playing bingo and Shanghai Rum. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Elvis outside on her deck. Her love for her family shone through her devotion to the family’s annual Blayney reunion, in which Blayneys would travel from across the country to attend.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor / director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. The family will be holding a virtual Celebration of Life.
