Steve George Welch
Steve “Jack” George Welch, 73, of Washington, died Friday, January 1, 2021, in his home.
Jack was born November 3, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late Charles and Marie Bopp Welch. He attended Trinity High School and worked as an optician.
He was a past member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, an avid Pirates and Wild Things fan, and a beer connoisseur.
On April 4, 1970, Jack married Sharon Atchison, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, William Welch of Washington; daughters Jackie (Shane) Fowler, Leslie Gaines and Carol Pallett, all of Washington; brother John (Kathy) Welch of Eighty Four; sisters Elizabeth (Chuck) Baumgardner of Washington and Diane (Mike) Austing of Tridelphia; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by a son, Steve Welch; a brother, Charles Welch Jr.; and grandchildren Hope and Faith.
