Woodrow “Woody” W. Grim, 76, of Washington, died Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the Donnell House, Concordia Hospice of Washington following a lengthy illness. He was born in Greensboro, a son of the late Reuben G. and Hazel K. Darr Grim.

Woody attended Mapletown High School and worked as an auto and diesel mechanic throughout his life up until his retirement.

During his retirement, Woody was employed as a security guard. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #927 in Washington and enjoyed watching football and old Western television shows. Woody will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On June 10, 1966, he married his former wife, Marie E. Smith, who survives and resides in South Carolina. Also surviving is a son, Dennis S. Grim of Washington; two brothers, Ed Grim of Mt. Morris and Russell (Vickie) Grim of Morgantown, W.Va.; and a sister, Mary Radcliff of Mt. Morris.

In addition to his parents, Woody was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Grim; two brothers, Lee and Bill Grim; and a sister, Elizabeth Grim.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, January 14, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor / director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. The funeral service and burial will be private.
