Dorothy Elizabeth Anderson
Dorothy Elizabeth Anderson, age 96, Sycamore, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 6:35 p.m. in Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 14, 1924, in Morris Township, she was the daughter of the late Edward Clarence and Dora VanMeter Shaw.
She married John Anderson on August 21, 1942 and they were happily married for 47 years until he passed away.
She is survived by two children, Marlene (Thomas) Anderson, and Johnny (Sharon) Anderson; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren;and a brother, Edward Shaw.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Sue Warne; two sisters, Mary Frances McMasters, and Lorena Anderson; a brother, Richard Shaw; 2 half-brothers, Clarence and Ernest Shaw.
A graveside service will be held at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Township at 11 a.m. Monday January 18, with Pastor Harry Hill officiating.
