Sidney Mastrangelo
Sidney Mastrangelo went to be with the Lord on Christmas morning of 2020 after a two-week battle with COVID-19.
He was born 64 years ago in Pennsylvania to Sidney Mastrangelo Sr. and the late, Donna Mastrangelo, nee Carter. He moved to south Florida over four decades ago, and chose Dunnellon, Florida as his final worldly residence in 1991.
He retired in 2018 from a successful painting business that he started 25 years ago, and filled his days since retirement visiting Hospice patients, volunteering at the Humane Society of Marion County, and spending time with family and friends. Sid loved God and was a devout Christian. He enjoyed nature, animals, karaoke, and cars, and was well-known for his sense of humor, kind and compassionate personality, and his generosity.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra Mastrangelo; his daughter, Elaine Bringle; son-in-law Brent; and two grandchildren, Alex, age 6, and Violet, age 3; along with his father Sidney Mastrangelo Sr. of Canonsburg; sister, Joni Podrasky; brothers, Scott Mastrangelo and Dean Mastrangelo; and multiple sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
His family requests that memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army or any animal welfare service of your choosing.
