Frank Louis Brach
Frank Louis Brach, 81, of Washington, passed away peacefully Friday, January 15, 2021, in the Washington Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born July 14, 1939, in Washington, a son of the late Frank and Mary Brach.
Frank was a 1956 graduate of Trinity High School. He then served in the United States Air Force before being honorably discharged.
Frank was employed at McGraw-Edison for a number of years before moving on to accept a position with the Baltimore Life Insurance Company, where he retired from some years later.
He was Roman Catholic by faith and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Frank was also a member of various clubs and organizations including the Alpine Club, the Bears Club and the Elks. He was also a member of the Canonsburg area Catholic Church dart ball leagues. Frank also enjoyed a good hand of blackjack, harness racing and watching sports and classic Western movies with his loving dog, Buddy by his side.
On May 22, 1961, he married Helen Marie Zavatski of Canonsburg, who survives. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Also surviving are a son, Frank (Teri) Brach of Venice, Fla.; a daughter, Kristi Rea of Washington; a brother, Arnold (Pam) Brach of Washington; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Little Jack, Allison and Jimmy; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Roman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a son, James Anthony Brach; and by two sisters, Antonette Brach and Delores Spencer.
All funeral arrangements are private. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date.
