Marjorie “Marge” Lloyd, 80, of Cecil, formerly of Brentwood, passed away peacefully Friday, January 15, 2021.

Born July 20, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Marjorie and Walter Westell.

She was the beloved wife of David Lloyd Sr. for 54 years; loving mother of David (Billie) Lloyd Jr. and Cynthia (Charles) Nimal; cherished grandmother of David “DJ”, Ryan and Jacob Lloyd, Zack and Lindsay Nimal; great-grandmother of Anna, McKenzie, Auraelya and Jocelyn Lloyd; sister of Eileen (Jerry) Askins, Carol (the late Rich) Gitzen, Wally Beth (the late Bruce) Fox, Joyce (Wally) Scott, Denise (Butch) Westover and brother Walter Westell; sister-in-law Eiko Westell; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie graduated from Brentwood High School in 1958, where she won the Homemaker of Tomorrow by Betty Crocker in the “The Betty Crocker Search for the All-American Homemaker of Tomorrow” scholarship program. After high school, Marjorie went on to work for The J.C. Penny Company in the finance department.

In 1966, Marjorie married David and devoted many years to her family as a homemaker.

In December of 1985, Marjorie completed her certificate in Catering through Community College of Allegheny County and pursued her love of cooking and feeding all those who enjoyed gathering around the table with family and friends. While in school, Marjorie was employed by Foodland in Mt. Lebanon and was a member of the UFCW Local 23 union.

During the 1990s, Marjorie pursued her passion for animals and became a veterinarian assistant at South Hills Veterinarian Services. While there, her sincere devotion to aiding and promoting the well-being of animals was truly fulfilled.

After a brief attempt at retirement, Marjorie went on to enjoy 14 more years as the receptionist for JM Productions in Bridgeville. Finally, she retired in 2017.

Marge also enjoyed shopping but was most at peace when she traveled to Ocracoke Island, where she loved to fish.

Family and friends are welcome from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, in Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to ASPCA at aspca.org.
