Andrew Bystry Jr.
Andrew “Buster” Bystry Jr., 71, of Raccoon Township, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021.
He was born January 7, 1950, in Waynesburg, to the late Andrew and Mary Frances Lewandowsky Bystry.
Andrew retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after 44 dedicated years as an inspector of the area’s locks and dams. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed making candles, woodworking, crosswords, Scrabble, bird-watching, music, good movies, jokes, rooting for the Steelers, golf and playing with his dogs Razzy and Lucy.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Kay Ondrejko Bystry; a daughter, Stacy Bystry; a son, Jason Bystry; a brother, David Bystry; a sister, Patty Plummer; and six nephews, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Mitchell, Christopher and Thomas. He is also survived by extended family members, Frank Gentile, Tina Anterock and Eddie Burrie; grandchildren, Madison, Hunter, Tymme, Taylor, Lily, Aubrey, Rylan; and two great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Kaden.
