Doris Eileen Chambers Smith
Doris Eileen Chambers Smith, 92, of Valley Grove, W.Va., passed away Friday, January 22, 2021.
She was born August 19, 1928, in West Finley Township, Washington, a daughter of the late Emmett and Elda Ferrell Chambers.
Doris attended Triadelphia High School and worked for 16 years at the former Valley Camp Store. She was a member of the First Christian Church of West Alexander, the Golden Agers, AARP #824 and the McGuffey Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles P. Smith; and her brothers, Arley Chambers of Claysville and Kenneth W. Chambers of Florida.
She is survived by her three children, Barabara Ann (Gregg) Williamson of Virginia, Mark Smith and Wayne (Grace) Smith, both of Valley Grove, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kelly McMahon of Florida, Tequila (Chris) Oliver and Toby Smith of West Virgina; step-grandchildren, Randy and Ryan Sutton of West Virginia; great-grandchild, Winston Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at West Alexander Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Graff officiating.
