Connie B. Suprek, 68, of Avella, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 5, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

She was born February 28, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Louise Cain Fluharty.

Connie was a 1973 graduate of Brunswick High School and worked as a bookkeeper and property manager.

Connie had lived in Avella since 2000 and was a member of the Bert C. Siders American Legion Post 643 Ladies Auxiliary and Moose Lodge 1564 of Wellsburg, W.Va.

She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

On August 12, 2000, she married Russell John Suprek, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 20 years, are a daughter, Jen (Josh) Compston of Springfield, Ohio; stepson Russell J. Suprek Jr. of Bethel Park; three grandchildren, Tim and Taylor Compston, and Kylie Suprek; a brother, Bruce Fluharty; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, Steve Fluharty.

Friends and family will be received from 2 until 6 p.m., the time of the service, Thursday, July 8, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating.
