Eugene McNamara
Eugene McNamara, 93, of Washington, died Monday, July 5, 2021, in Washington Hospital.
He was born October 26, 1927, in Washington, a son of the late Genevieve Barrett.
“Mac,” as many people knew him, was an electrician for over 30 years with McGraw-Edison in Canonsburg.
He proudly served his country in the Army.
In September of 1949, Eugene married Dorothy Hart, who died in January of 1984.
Also preceding him in death was long-time companion Elsie Ackley.
Surviving to cherish his memory are son Dan McNamara of Wheeling, W.Va.; daughter Barbara Haught of Washington; along with three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Eugene “Mac” “Pap” McNamara was loved by all who knew him.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of service Friday, July 9, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
Interment is private and will be held at the family’s convenience.
