Georgia K. Burkhart, 79, of Waynesburg, formerly of Brentwood, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the Washington Hospital.

She was born February 11, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Walter G. and Helen R. Ayres Mountjoy.

Her husband, Henry Burkhart Jr., is deceased.

Georgia worked for Kaufman’s in downtown Pittsburgh for 30 years. For the past 18 years, she resided in Waynesburg, where she worked in the offices of Jacobs Petroleum.

Surviving are a daughter, Babette Legler (Mark) of Pittsburgh; two sons, Walter J. Burkhart and David H. Burkhart, both of Waynesburg; and a grandson, Matthew M. Legler (Jennifer). Also surviving are a sister, Carol Meeder (William) of Baldwin; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 12, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg. Private services and burial will be held on Tuesday.
