Thomas E. Stimmell

Thomas E. Stimmell, 88, of Mather, died July 8, 2021, at the home of his niece and nephew.

Mr. Stimmell was born September 27, 1932, in Denbo, a son of the late Clarence C. and Mary Chester Stimmell.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. He then worked for 38 years at the Bethlehem Steel Mill in Baltimore, Md.

Mr. Stimmell was the last member of his immediate family.

Deceased are three brothers, Lee, Woodrow and Jim Stimmell; six sisters, Frances Stimmell, Violet Hutchinson, Jean Maison, Bea Colvin, Mary Wortman and Esther Ross.

Tom was lovingly cared for by his niece and nephew, Phil and Rachelle Zebro. Several other nieces and nephews survive.

He was a boxer in his youth and enjoyed fishing, bowling, The Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Cootiettes since 1957.

Full military rites will be accorded by the Greene County Honor Guard and United States Army at a later date to be announced.

Arrangements are being handled by Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels. Mr. Paul Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor/Owner.
