Bonnie Lee Clish McCarty

Bonnie Lee Clish McCarty, 77, of Beallsville, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, in Washington Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends following a year-long illness. Bonnie was born July 12, 1944, in Clarksville, a daughter of the late John C. and Irma Borcheck Clish.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lecil Duane McCarty; and an infant son, Lecil Duane “Butchie” McCarty.

Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School. She loved her family, took pride in her home as a homemaker, loved animals and enjoyed watching her grandson, Quintin become a championship swimmer.

Surviving are her sons, Kevin Jon McCarty (partner William L. Beck) of Fredericktown, Dr. David Michael McCarty (Annie) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a grandson, Quintin Kevin McCarty. Also surviving are siblings John Clish (Carol) of Jefferson, Stanley Clish (Pam) of McMurray, Irma Jean Vihlidal (Joe) of Waynesburg, Kathy Piper (Garee) of Fredericktown and Victoria Clish of Washington; several nieces and nephews; and close family relatives Barry and Peggy Battistella of Beallsville.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, with interment to follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
