David Lee Johnson
David Lee Johnson, 76, of Washington, died July 17, 2021, at Shadyside Hospital, surrounded by his wife and family.
He was a 1963 graduate of McGuffey High School and retired after 36 years at the U.S. Post Office.
David served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a loving, caring, patient and compassionate man. He loved his faith in God and his family.
David enjoyed hunting and fishing camp, golfing and gardening.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 175, Washington-Greene Counties Central Labor Council and was inducted into the Labor Hall of Fame April 26, 2003.
David leaves behind a loving, solicitous family.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, where a service will be held at 10 a.m Friday, July 23, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 175 Honor Guard.
Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
