Antonino Catuara
Antonino Catuara, 91, of California, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
He was born Thursday, January 30, 1930, in Santa Elisabetta, Sicily, a son of the late Salvatore and Stefana Catuara.
He worked construction for Laborer’s Local 286 for 42 years.
In addition to his parents, Antonino was preceded in death by his first wife, Madeline Wells Catuara in 1992; and one daughter, Nina Catuara in 1971.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edna (Ruiz, Sanchez) Catuara of California; three children, Stephanie Norizsan and husband Richard of Saratoga, N.Y., Samuel Catuara and wife Carmel of Belle Vernon, Daniel Catuara of California, and stepson David Sanchez of Monessen; brother and sister-in-law Philip and Martha Catura of Elmont, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ress and husband Dustin, Jennifer Lynn McBain and husband Ken, Margaret Villella, Megan Piktel and husband Brian; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren. Also surviving are two nephews, Sal Catura and wife Michelle of Wantagh, N.Y., and Charlie Catura of Knoxville, Tenn.; and niece Faith Catino and husband Steve of Elmont, N.Y.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., the time of a memorial funeral service, Friday, July 23, with his son-in-law, the Rev. Richard Norizsan, officiating, in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California.
