Linda Ellen Diamond Kennedy
Linda Ellen Diamond Kennedy, of Eldersville, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, in her home, at the age of 72. She was born February 23, 1949, a daughter of the late Curtis and Violet Diamond. She attended Union High School in Burgettstown.
On June 11, 1965, Linda married Charles Joshua Kennedy Sr.
She worked as a cleaning lady for Eldersville United Methodist Church and was also a cook for many years at Village Green Golf Course, Tia’s Restuarant and George’s Restaurant.
Linda enjoyed her old-time country music and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Kennedy Sr.; three sons, Charles Kennedy Jr. (Kelly) of Bulger, David Kennedy (Wendy) of Weirton, W.Va., and Timothy Kennedy of Langeloth; daughter, Marice Brown (Nathan) of Weirton; six grandchildren, Joshua Kennedy (Brandi), Riley Kennedy, Tyler Kennedy, Erica Brown, Kristan Brown, Darcey Stanley (Mike); and three great-grandchildren, Joshua Kennedy Jr., Kayley Stanley and Miley Stanley.
Visitation for Linda will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, and from 9 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, in Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021, 724-947-2049. www.youngfhinc.com
