Melody Jean Workman Cunningham
Melody Jean Workman Cunningham, 53, of Washington, died Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the Grove at Washington.
She was born September 5, 1967, in Washington, a daughter of the late Harry “Cecil” Workman and Mary Harps-Clark.
A 1986 graduate of McGuffey High School, Melody also earned her certification as a nurse’s aide from Western Area Career and Technology Center.
Mrs. Cunningham worked for 18 years at the Washington Hospital, on Floors 5S and 6E.
Her greatest joy in life was being a Mal-Mal to her 26 grandchildren.
On April 5, 2014, she married Donnie Cunningham, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Eddie (Andrea) Clark; two daughters, Christina (William) Smith and Tiffanie (Justin) Connor; four stepdaughters; two sisters, Lisa Hennick and Darla Sue Johnson; seven grandchildren, Caleb, Lanie, Preston, Peyton, Ryker, Elliott and Harper; 19 step-grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Carol Deyell.
Friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 6 until 7 p.m., the time of services, Thursday, July 29, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
