Gregory A. Martin
Gregory A. Martin, 69, of Crucible, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Martin was born September 12, 1951, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Alvin G. and Margaret J. Mihalovich Martin.
On July 15, 1983, Greg married Margaret “Peggy” Welch, who survives. Also surviving are his son, William Terry (fiancee Sherry Brown) of Waynesburg; four siblings, Sylvia Abbott, Barbara Tenny (Dalton), Celeste Griffith and Robert Martin (Carrie); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, deceased are a son, Christopher Martin; four brothers, David, Tat, Eugene and Gary Martin.
Greg was a retired coal miner from Maple Creek Mine. He was a loyal member of United Mine Workers of America #1248, District 2. He traveled with brother union members to rallys in support of miner causes. He also enjoyed flea markets and yard sales.
