Betty Jean Shimborske Ames
Betty Jean Shimborske Ames, aka Bubba, 84, returned to her heavenly home Sunday, May 16, 2021, in Mooresville, N.C., surrounded by love.
Betty was born in Fredricktown June 29, 1936, to Leo and Julia Shimborske. Betty and her two sisters grew up and flourished in Fredericktown, where they remained through adulthood.
Betty is survived by her love of 64 years, Bernard Elliot Ames; her sisters, Joanne Knisner and Leona (Babe) Whitt; her three daughters, Terri, Toni and Tracie; sons-in-law Alan and Cole; along with her eight grandchildren, Cole Jr. (wife Ashley), Kara, Sheldon, Carlie (husband Jacob), Cody, Madeline, Holden and Jacob; as well as three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Wyatt and Halle.
The family will honor her life, on what would have been her 85th birthday, with a celebration in Sherrills Ford, N.C., Tuesday, June 29.
