Donald I. Schwartz
Donald I. “Don” Schwartz, 74, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was born August 19, 1946, in Banksville, a son of the late Albert and Margaret Marracini Schwartz.
A U.S. Army veteran, Don met and married Carol Tustin, his wife of 48 years, in Dormont. Together, they raised a daughter, Shannon, and was very proud watching her grow and achieve her goals, becoming a caring and dedicated nurse.
A member of the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsman’s Club, Don’s favorite things were spending time with family, watching the Steelers, fishing and traveling.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by nine of his brothers and sisters, Doris Schwartz, Albert Schwartz Jr., Carol Shipley (Phil), Joy Smeresky (Edward), Margaret DeFazio (Frank), Norma Howard (John), Nancy Shannon (Charles), William Schwartz and Patricia Bach (William).
Don is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Shannon Stage (Patrick) of Charlotte, N.C., brother, Robert Schwartz (Shirley); and sister, Sandra Harlow (Leonard); along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 9. A prayer service will follow at 12 p.m.
