Ellen Frances Walker Anderson
Ellen Frances Walker Anderson, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in North Strabane Retirement Village.
She was born August 23, 1933, in Gabby Heights, a daughter of the late Eugene Walker, and Dorothy Walker Wade.
Frances was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. She retired from W & J College in 1997, working in the library as a clerk and on the switchboard.
She attended Friendship Community Church.
Frances enjoyed being with her family, playing board games with siblings, camping, and watching the Steelers win.
On May 22, 1953, she married John L. “Jack” Anderson, who died April 19, 1977.
She is survived by sons John A. (Cathy) Anderson of Washington and Gary L. (Donna) Anderson of Eighty-Four; daughter Susan R. (Jim) Ralston of Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, John M. Pevarnik; and a brother, Charles E. Walker.
