Benjamin Lewis Sr.
Benjamin “Ben” Lewis Sr., 90, of Finleyville, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at home.
He was born March 29, 1931, in Venetia, a son of the late Obed T. and Eleanor Patton Lewis.
Ben was retired as a heavy equipment mechanic with the former Victor Dosse Contracting Corporation in Venetia. He was a member of Wrights United Methodist Church in Venetia and was an avid auto racing fan.
Surviving are his son, Benjamin (Deborah) Lewis Jr. of Finleyville; a daughter, Earlene (Dennis) Pigford of Latrobe; a sister, Charlene Jones of Nebraska; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Colin, Bill and Obed D. Lewis; and three sisters, Erma Orndoff, Marie Rhodes and Vena Mae Stilley.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Barner officiating. Private interment will be held in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
