Colleen Ann Hite
Colleen Ann Hite, 52, of Washington, died Saturday, February 13, 2021, in the Washington Hospital. She was born March 19, 1968, to the late Lloyd Keith Hite and the late Donna June Hite.
Colleen worked locally as a groomer for the Meadows Racetrack, a cook at the Spring House, and a dog breeder for some time. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She had an immense love for animals, especially her bird, Lucy, and her cat, Maggie May. She always held fond memories of family trips to Atlantic City and Deep Creek. She often watched her favorite TV series, the Golden Girls, and loved music, especially Rod Stewart.
Colleen was affectionately known as Big Col to many and will always be remembered as having a huge heart, a giving spirit, an amazing sense of humor, and a one-of-a-kind personality.
She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her only daughter, Jessica Martin (Perry) of Washington; grandson Charlie Welling; partner Donny Yeager of Washington; siblings Wayne Hite and Janis Hite-Niemiec, both of Coal Center; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends, new and old.
