Robert P. Berry

Robert P. Berry, 83, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

He was born May 13, 1937, in Canonsburg, a son of Robert and Alice Post Berry.

Mr. Berry was a 1955 graduate of Trinity High School. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving for two years. Once home, he enrolled at California University of Pennsylvania graduating 1964, with a degree in industrial arts.

Bob was a self-employed draftsman, doing work for David Ewing, in residential and commercial architecture. Mr. Berry also, helped his wife with the operation of her restaurant, Maggie’s Pub, in Washington.

He was a member of the Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church, Canonsburg, where he was a member of the choir. He also enjoyed fishing, farming and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Ann Powell Ross Berry; a daughter, Michelle Lane (Michael) of Rochester Hills, Mich.; two grandchildren, Abigail and Ruth Lane; a sister, Rebecca Quay (Richard) of Oxford, Ohio; five stepchildren, Beverly Ross, Donald Ross (Kathy), Barry Ross (Janet), William Ross (GeeGee) and Rebecca Ross, all of Canonsburg; 14 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to present circumstances, all services are private. A memorial to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or act.alz.org/donate.
