Alfred Charles Kaikaka

Alfred Charles Kaikaka, 93, of Canonsburg, formerly of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, surrounded by family. Born January 14, 1928, he was a son of the late Alexandrina (Rodrigues) and John Keoni Kaikaka.

He was the beloved husband to the late Viola Davies Kaikaka; loving father to Gary Kaikaka, Elizabeth “Libby” (Robert) Anderson of Clearwater, Fla., and Carolyn Kaikaka of Washington; cherished grandfather to Valori Hobson, Vicki (Stephen) Kaikaka Pyles, Rachel (Michael) Abernathy, Brittany Pelton, Bryan Anderson, Zachary (Jessica) Kaempf, Sara and Benjamin Kaempf; dear great-grandfather to Nathanial and Hunter Hobson, Charlotte Pyles, Kaviya Kandasamy and Kai Kaempf; and loving brother to Lorraine (Marvin) Watts. He was also preceded in death by his five brothers and four sisters.

Alfred proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War Conflict and Vietnam War Conflict. He enjoyed building model airplanes, singing Hawaiian songs, and most importantly spending precious time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also had a passion for Harley Davidsons and football. Alfred will be dearly missed by all.

Family and friends are welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Monday, March 15, in Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery, with full military honors.
