Shirley Anne Mayer Diamond
Shirley Anne Mayer Diamond, 81, formerly of Cherry Valley, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in Austin, Texas, where she has resided the past six years.
Shirley was born April 23, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kuzyck Mayer.
She attended the Union High School in Burgettstown and graduated with the Class of 1957. She was self employed as owner of Diamond Associates marketing firm and volunteered for many years at local hospitals. Shirley enjoyed travel, cooking for family and neighbors, and spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Nicholas Diamond, whom she married August 16, 1958. She is also survived by her three children, Rita Diamond of Austin, Tom Diamond and wife JoAnn of St. Paul, Minn., and Ken Diamond of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, Chris, Brett and Jeff Vinecombe, and Adam and Ryan Diamond; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alex and Ella.
Shirley was predeceased by her brother, Robert “Bob” Mayer.
Family and friends will be received in the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., the time of a blessing service, Thursday, March 18, officiated by the Rev. Harry Bielewicz. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
