Melvin C. Caldwell
Melvin C. Caldwell, 71, of New Castle, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, March 18, 2021.
He was born April 29, 1949, in Washington, to Samuel Caldwell Jr. and Mildred Campbell Caldwell.
Melvin was a 1968 graduate of Trinity High School in Washington and 1972 graduate of Culver-Stockton College, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.
On February 14, 2000, he married Cheryl Klein-Caldwell, with whom he has shared 21 years of joyful union.
Melvin was employed as a courier. Melvin was an avid sports fan and enjoyed automobiles, nutrition and holistic living.
In addition to his wife and mother, Melvin is survived by children Christian (Angela) Caldwell of Washington, Carrie (Gary) Johnson of Sharon and Shawn (Jessica) Snodgrass of Wheeling, W.Va.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Melvin was preceded in death by his father; and brothers Duane and Calvin.
Viewing services will be held from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Monday, March 22, in Jubilee Ministries International City Church, 14 E Chartes Street, New Castle, PA 16102, with Dr. Mark Kauffman officiating the service.
