Sally Ann Tomsic
Sally Ann Tomsic, 86, of Houston, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, in Concordia Hospice of Washington, Donnell House. She was born May 6, 1935, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Edward and Julia Smith Bizzack.
Sally was raised in Meadow Lands before moving to Houston, where she spent most of her life. She was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. Sally worked as an operator for Washington Hospital for 17 years.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she volunteered doing charity work and was a member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish. Sally was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and Chinese luncheons with her granddaughters.
On June 26, 1954, she married Henry R. Tomsic, who passed away January 26, 2012.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Bob (Juliana) Tomsic of Washington; two daughters, Karen (David) Meili of Houston and Lori Tomsic Renko of Houston; grandchildren, Mark (Lindsey) Meili, Michael (Emily) Meili, Megan (Shayne) Noe, Lauren (Mike) Spiegel, Kaley and Marisa Tomsic, Michael Renko and Roman Meili; great-grandchildren, Ava, Emma and Olivia Meili, Sophia and Lucas Noe, and Roman Meili; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband, is her sister, Nancy Carney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Monday, November 8, in St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, 317 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
