Richard Palombi
Richard “Dike” Palombi, 94, of Canonsburg, went to his heavenly home, with his family by his side, Thursday, November 18, 2021. He was born March 10, 1927, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Benidetto and Agnes Celento Palombi.
Mr. Palombi was a self-employed concrete contractor for over 40 years and along with his wife, Jan, they ran Richard Palombi Construction.
He was first and foremost a family man. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed Sunday dinners and playing cards. Richard was a member of the Washington Country Club for years. He also liked hunting, fishing and antique collecting.
On November 24, 1954, in St. Patrick Church, Richard married Janet Leslie, who survives.
Also left behind to cherish his memory are children, Dawn (Dennis) Curry, Michael (Reyne) Palombi; grandchildren, Sara (Luke) Patnesky-Klemens, Jeremy Curry (Kiya Dixon), Jessica and Ben Palombi; one great-grandson, Silas Carmello Curry; one sister, whom he cherished, Clorinta “Linda” (Russ) Mains; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased, along with his parents, are two brothers, Lou Palombi and Michael “Pickles” Palombi.
A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, in Woodruff Memorial Park Chapel, 2095 Washington Road, Canonsburg. Everyone please meet at the cemetery.
