Russell Alexander Andree Sr.
Russell Alexander Andree Sr., 88, of South Fayette, formerly of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in St. Clair Health.
He was born July 3, 1933, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Russell S. and Mary Ellen Kerr Andree.
He was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building puzzles, and was an amazing gardener.
He worked 42 years as a winder at the former McGraw-Edison Power Systems, Canonsburg.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Sarah Nicholas Andree of South Fayette; two sons, Russell A. (Lynn) Andree Jr. of Chartiers Township, and John Andree of South Fayette; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Gregory of Decatur, Ill., and Tina Andree of South Park; three grandchildren, Richard Gregory, Becky Andree and Russell Andree III; great-grandson, Axton Andree; four brothers, Richard (Janet) Andree of Canonsburg, Carl (Nancy) Andree of Washington, Donald (Renie) Andree of South Carolina and Doug Andree of Florida; a sister, Fern (Robert) Klessick of Canonsburg.
He was preceded in death by parents; and three sisters, Emma Dantry, Marie Dantry, and Bessie Shimek.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, with Pastor Richard Gregory officiating.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full Military Honors accorded by Canonsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Honor Guard.
