Clyde W. Kearns
Clyde W. Kearns, 69, of Bentleyville, passed away Monday afternoon, November 22, 2021, at Penn Highlands – Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born August 25, 1952, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Wilber Harold Kearns and Laura Jean John Kearns.
A graduate of Bentworth High School, he later graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a master’s degree.
Mr. Kearns was a teacher for the Bentworth School District for 32 years and after retiring served on the Bentworth School Board.
He was also a hair stylist and the owner of Clyde Kearns Hairstyling in Bentleyville.
He was a member of the Saint Katharine Drexel Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council 5826, Bentleyville.
Surviving are his loving companion, Beckie Shemasek and her family, John Shemasek (Annette), Jaime Shemasek, Brianne Rusilko (Alex), Brennan Shemasek, Mason Shemasek, Lilyanna Shemasek, Alex Rusilko, Julie Rusilko, Rock (the special family dog) and several cousins and friends.
There will be no visitation.
Friends are welcome to his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 26, at Saint Katharine Drexel, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, Pastor, as celebrant.
At the church, non-vaccinated individuals are required to wear masks or facial coverings and social distancing is to be maintained.
A procession will follow to Maple Creek Cemetery for the Rite of Committal service.
