Georgia M. Lindsay
Georgia M. Lindsay, 96, of Carnegie, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
She was born January 10, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Nowlin Brown.
Mrs. Lindsay graduated from Washington High School. She worked for Mayview State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide for over 25 years, where she retired in 1990.
Georgia was a member of Solid Rock Foundation Ministries in Carnegie, where she served as a Deaconess. She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with her friends, family, and her church.
Surviving are three children, Rosalind (Lemoin) Brevard of Stafford Va., George (Bernadine) Lindsay of Lancaster, Calif., and Thomas (Natalie) Walden of Stafford Va.; two sisters, Ella Twitty of Flint, Mich., and Alberta Brown of New York, N.Y.; one brother, Pastor Charles Brown of Pittsburgh; a sister-in-law, Elaine Brown of Oakdale, and her best friend Ms. Lucy Lewis; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Ocie Ponton; a sister, Ann Reeves, and two brothers, Vincent S. Brown, and William F. Brown.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Solid Rock Foundation Ministries, 435 Broadway Street, Carnegie; where a Home Going service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4. Interment will follow in Chartiers Cemetery Carnegie, PA.
COVID-19 vaccination or proof of negative COVID test will be required. The service will adhere to social distance guidelines and masks will be required. Streaming will be available for virtual guests.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Life Pittsburgh, Inc or Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Georgia M. Lindsay. Details for the organizations are below.
