Wilma Jean Ealy Dorsey
Wilma Jean Ealy Dorsey, 91, of Graysville, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, W.Va.
She was born October 16, 1929, in East Finley Township, Washington County, to the late Wayne Wright and Martha Gertrude Kahlbaugh Ealy, then moved to Graysville in 1954.
Wilma was a member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church, and a former Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a family babysitter and a former member of the Graysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
She was a postmaster in Graysville for 21 years upon her retirement in 1994.
Wilma married Ralph Eugene Dorsey October 16, 1948, and was happily married for 61 years before his passing in January 2009.
She is survived by three children, Barbara (Gordon) McCracken of Lordstown, Ohio, Daniel (Debra) Dorsey of Dallas, W.Va., and Phyllis (Rudy) Yurkovich of Prosperity; one brother, Elmer (Judy) Ealy of Taylorstown; one sister, Mary Ellen (Robert) Livingood of Graysville; 11 grandchildren, Amy (Kevin) Middleton, Dennis McCracken, Andrea (Vince) Taddei, Connie (Jake) Bloom, Tammy (John) Huff, Carrie (Billy) Riggle, Brandon (Amber) Dorsey, Vince (Jennifer Simile) Junkins, Ashley (Casey) Hill, Rudy (Jamie) Yurkovich and Leigh Ann (Matt) Shrader; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Cunningham, Gertrude Ealy; two brothers, George and Wright Ealy; and one granddaughter, Jody McCracken.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 7, in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, telephone 724-499-5181.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 8, with Pastor Lanny Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in West Finley.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial contributions to the Fairmount United Methodist Church, 120 Fairmount Church Road, West Finley, PA 15377.
