Helen Vilcheck

Helen Vilcheck passed away peacefully Friday, October 1, 2021, at Transitions Health Care.

She was born in Van Voorhis, on January 15, 1925 to Nicholas and Anna Medvick Sebro. She moved to Cokeburg in December 1936.

Helen graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1943. After graduation she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked for General Electric. She returned home after six years to marry Steve Vilcheck who passed away December 17, 1977. She worked for ten years as Cokeburg Borough Secretary / Treasurer, and ten years in the Washington County Recorder of Deeds office.

Surviving are a son William (Judy) of Butler; two grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Vilcheck and Ann Vilcheck; and two great-grandchildren Steven and Ashlynn.

Deceased besides her husband and parents is a brother Michael Sebro.

Helen was baptized in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of Charleroi and remained a member there until her death.

There will be no public visitation. A private burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1000 Lookout Avenue, Charleroi, PA 15022.

A public memorial service will be held at a time and date to be announced. Arrangements by Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home.
