Helen S. Yalowsky
Helen S. Yalowsky, 74 of Crucible, died Monday, October 18, 2021 in Washington Hospital, Washington.
She was born April 20, 1947 in Crucible, a daughter of the late Fred and Anna Kachersky Yalowsky.
Helen was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and worked as a cookie machine operator at Nabisco in Pittsburgh.
She was a member of St. Hugh Worship site of St. Matthias Parish.
Helen loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets, going to the Meadows Casino and in her early days traveling to Atlantic City.
She also enjoyed traveling to Ohio to visit her sister, brother, cousins and their families.
Surviving is a sister, Patty George of Crucible; a nephew, Russell Yalowsky of San Antonio, Tex., and a niece, Sherri Caplinger of Garfield Heights, Ohio; and several cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Alice Yalowsky and two brothers, John Yalowsky and Fred “Frankie” Yalowsky.
In keeping with the guidelines of the CDC of wearing masks, friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. Marcellus Worship site of St. Matthias Parish, 1340 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, with Fr. Albin C. McGinnis, Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
