John M. Aloia
John M. Aloia, 74, of Washington, died Saturday, October 23, 2021, in Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1947, in Washington, the son of the late Michael and Mildred Flora Aloia.
John was a 1965 graduate of Trinity high school and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He worked his entire life in the world of home improvement.
John loved to hunt and fish, often sharing that love with his grandson, Joshua. He was a member of the local chapter of Bass Masters, where he previously served as president. His greatest passion in life was sports. He loved watching several sports but none more than the games his grandson, Logan, played in.
On April 23, 1966, in Winchester, Va., he married the love of his life, Barbara Clutter, who survives.
John served in the U.S. Army.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tracy (Craig) Hummell and Michele Aloia, both of Washington; two grandsons, Joshua (Daesha Prichard) Aloia and Logan Hummell; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Pauline Aloia.
Deceased are a sister, Kathleen McMasters, and a nephew, Michael McMaster.
Out of respect for the safety and health of the community, the family has decided a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor, Dr. Lawrence K. Donovan, director.
