George Howard Foster, Jr.
George Howard Foster, Jr., 73, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. He was born in Munhall, on December 9, 1947 to George “Howard” Foster, Sr., and Henrietta Youngman Foster.
After his mother’s premature death, he was raised by his stepmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Foster. Although George was born in Munhall, the family lived in many areas before they settled in West Mifflin, in the early 1960’s on Foster Road.
He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors of Arts Degree. He worked for the Allegheny County Election Department before assuming project manager roles at PNC Bank and then as a contract PMP for major companies in the US and Canada.
George enjoyed all things computer, as well as hunting, and was a history and military buff and was well read in those subjects.
George is survived by his loving wife, Roberta V. Williams; stepson, Joseph S. Bagnato; brother, Gary A. Foster of Bethel Park; sister, Susan Foster Blank (husband, Richard) of Scenery Hill; sister, Betsy Foster Behanna of Bentleyville; sister, Ellen Foster Gray (husband, John) of West Newton; nieces and nephews, Joshua Gray, Sarah Gray Kimball, Kristie Sullivan, Joseph Foster, Jason Foster, Lyric Cancino and Tory Celender; and other extended family and friends.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. October 27 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, located at 5525 US 1, Mims, Florida 32754, where military honors will be presented.
There will a Celebration of Life in Pennsylvania scheduled at a later date.
