Linda D. Aloia
Linda D. Aloia, 74, of Washington, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, in her home, due to a lengthy illness.
She was born June 13, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of the late LeRoy R. and Freda P. Lindley Hammett.
Linda had attended Canon-McMillan High School.
Ms. Aloia worked for Brockway Glass for 10 years, and for Superior Valve for 23 years.
A social woman, who enjoyed good company, Linda belonged to many clubs, including the Pulaski Club, the Alpine Club, and the Slovak Club.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing darts.
Linda’s greatest joy in life were her boys, Mark and Chris, whom she loved dearly. She also loved and adored all her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, and was always telling them that, “I love you a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.”
Surviving are her sons, Mark (Tonya) Aloia and Chris (Trish) Aloia, both of Washington; two sisters, Carolyn Foutz and Susan Hupp, both of Washington; three grandchildren, Nicole Harshall, Jessica (Clark) Young, and Cole Aloia; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua Harshall, Anthony Johnson, Tessa Johnson, and Gabriella Harshall; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Michael Scott, and a sister, LeAnn Thornton.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
