Carl L. Partozoti Sr.
Carl L. Partozoti Sr., 84, of Finleyville, formerly of Avella, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 4, 2021, in his home, surrounded by family.
He was born November 17, 1936, in Primrose, Washington County, a son of the late Albert and Mary Konya Partozoti.
Carl attended Hickory High School and received his GED while he was serving in the United States Marine Corps as a lance corporal during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He worked as a large crane operator at McGraw-Edison for 28 years, retiring in 1994.
Carl was Catholic by faith and had lived in Finleyville since 1993. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing with friends and family.
He was a member of Morrison-Ritchie American Legion Post 613 of Finleyville, Canonsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 and Hackett Slovenian Club in Finleyville. Carl was a former member of Canonsburg Lodge No. 127 Loyal Order of Moose and Muse Italian Club.
Surviving are three children, Carla (Britt) Lindley of De Pere, Wis., Carl Partozoti Jr. of Indian Trail, N.C., and Carey Partozoti of Bridgeville; nine grandchildren, Francesca (Trevor) Herdt, Lorenzo, Vincenzo and Giovanni Lindley, Arianna and Carl Partozoti III, Giancarlo, Gabriella and Marcello Legister; a sister, Evelyn Bish of McDonald; several nieces and nephews; and his best friends and caretakers, Rick Viscuso and Tim Ayres.
A special thank you to Charles and Ruth Viscuso and family for their friendship and support and to Lexi for adopting Carl as your veteran for all of your school projects.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, James, Albert and Alden Partozoti; two sisters, Gloria Mattaliano and Cecilia Fedinetz; and his daughter-in-law, Tiffany Partozoti.
