William S. Mazutis Sr., 86, of Marianna, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, in Havencrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Monongahela. He was born July 16, 1935, in West Bethlehem Township, Washington County, a son of the late Frank and Martha Roulanitis Mazutis.

Mr. Mazutis was a graduate of West Bethlehem Township High School and resided in the Marianna area most of his life. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Carmichaels.

Mr. Mazutis retired from the Bethlehem Mine at Eighty Four. After retirement, he worked for Secon Corporation in Upper St. Clair doing landscaping for various office complexes.

Mr. Mazutis enjoyed raising horses, deer hunting, fishing, singing and listening to music, and watching Western television shows. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

On January 31, 1957, he married Sharon Watkins, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, William S. Mazutis Jr. (Meredith) of Crawford, Colo.; three daughters, Lynn Edwards (Joe Tomanelli) of Highland, N.Y., Andrea Wisener (Bill) and Deanna Hager, both of Monongahela; nine grandchildren, Andrew Edwards (Caitlin Freeborn), Kaleigh Edwards, Michelle Mazutis, Stephanie Mazutis, Jake Wisener (Emily), Destiny Morrow (Bruce), Jared Hager, Cheyenne Cook (Brian) and Harley Hull; three great-grandchildren, Blake Morrow, Scarlett Cook and Bonnie Cook; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons-in-law, Douglas Edwards and Christopher Hager; five brothers, Joseph Mazutis, Frank Mazutis, John Mazutis, Peter Mazutis and George Mazutis; and five sisters, Frances Bercosky, Emily Davis, Sophie Hixon, Ann Mitchell and Helen Matunas.

There will be no public viewing and arrangements are private under the direction of the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Altzheimer’s Association.
