Sally L. Shrader
Sally L. Shrader, 84, of Prosperity, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 2, 2021, in the Washington Hospital following a short illness.
She was born August 13, 1937 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lucy Boyd Coulter.
Mrs. Shrader was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of Hickory High School and was a lifelong homemaker.
Mrs. Shrader was an avid reader, excellent seamstress, and dedicated walker who enjoyed decorating her home, lolling on the porch, and spending time with her family.
On December 24, 1966, she married Frank Shrader, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ken (Tracie) Grove of Prosperity and Denny (Diane) Grove of Pataskala, Ohio; two daughters, Vicky (Ron) Cumer of Washington and Becky (Scott) Merchant of Prosperity; three brothers, Ronald (Bonnie Jean) Coulter and Doug (Donna) Coulter, both of Cecil, and John (Becky) Coulter of Avella; two sisters, Bonnie Casely of Shepherdstown, W.Va., and Betsy (Glade) Eakin of Washington; seven grandchildren, Ashley Blackhurst, Renee King, Carly Grove, Jordan Merchant, Cady Croscutt, and Zach and Kelsey Grove; five great-grandchildren, Abby and Maddy Blackhurst, Wyatt Grove, Royce King, Easton Merchant; and many nieces and nephews.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Grove, sister, Sandra Nice; brother, Robert Coulter; and her grandson, Nicholas Cumer.
All services are private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
