Shirley Drought Tadda
Shirley Drought Tadda, 78, of Upper St. Clair, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
She was a loving, caring, selfless, and strong grandmother, mother, wife, sister, and friend, who always made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Thomas A. “Tom”; dedicated mother to George (Rebecca), Geoffrey (Amy), Gregory and Garret (Angela); grandmother to Elizabeth, Alexis, Kyle, Gregory, Lydia, Alex, Cierra, Lauryn, Blake, Geoffrey and Cassandra; and great-grandmother to Richard, Jacob, Paul, Grace and Hannah; and sister of Joanne (Tom) Schippa. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a very active member of the Woman’s Club of Upper St. Clair, serving as a past president and most recently as club treasurer.
She was an avid Pirate fan and season ticket holder.
She spent most of her working career at Kaufmann’s and later retired with Macy’s.

Friends are welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, (724-941-3211), at 4 p.m. Monday, September 13, for a short service followed by a gathering to celebrate her life until 8 p.m.
A graveside service will be held in Douglas, Mich., at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
