Woneeda M. Pierson Gary
Woneeda M. Pierson Gary, 79, of West Finley, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center in Waynesburg.
She was born in Aleppo, on August 20, 1942, a daughter to the late Frank Pierson and Lucille Grinage Pierson.
Woneeda was a Greene County resident her whole life. She graduated from West Greene High School in 1961.
Woneeda married Karl Gary on December 10, 1962, and was happily married for 58 years upon his death on July 30, 2021. She enjoyed going to yard sales and gardening.
Surviving is a daughter, Laura (Kevin) Rogers of West Finley; four brothers, Jim Pierson of Washington, George Pierson of Aleppo, John (Suzie) Pierson of Prosperity, and Gary Pierson of Virginia; two sisters, Irma Urey of Waynesburg, and Ruth Morris of Uniontown; and one grandson, Bryan Rogers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Pierson.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, September 20, at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville. Telephone: 724-499-5181.
A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kay Berdine officiating.
Interment will follow at Braddock Cemetery.
