Dorothy Dulany Brady
Dorothy Dulany Brady, 96, of Scenery Hill, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in her home.
She was born January 4, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Lena Hunt Dulany.
Mrs. Brady was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School.
A homemaker, Dorothy also helped her husband on the family farm.
She was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church, Glyde, where she also taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was also active with the Glyde 4-H.
Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading, music, gardening, canning and baking.
Surviving are three daughters, Patty Fugitt (Howard) and Nancy Brady, both of Scenery Hill, and Becky Villanova (Donnie) of Wheeling, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Anette Franell (David), Jim Cowden, Kari Beckett (Brian), Hilary and Donald Villanova, Howard Fugitt IV (Carla) and Lori Fugitt-Byars; 10 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Lauren Beckett, Brady Franell, Alana Freeland, Zekai Villanova, Shila Kingsley, Derek Byars (Mae), Howard Fugitt V, Rebecca Reid (Josh) and Gracee Fugitt; son-in-law James Cowden; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husband, Donald Brady, who died May 29, 2011; a daughter, Donna Cowden; four brothers, Ingrham, Art, Leo and Ralph Dulany; two sisters, Mildred Turner and Ruth Lutes.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 23, with the Pastor Larry Wiltrout officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
