Thomas Joseph Ryan
Thomas Joseph Ryan, 87, passed away peacefully at St. Clair Hospital on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Tom was born on February 9, 1934, in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, to the late James Ryan and Marcella Dugan Ryan.
He was preceded in death by brother James Ryan (Bea), and sisters Dorothy Schmidt (George) and Lois Ryan.
He is survived by Kathleen Dolan Ryan, his beloved wife of 63 years; and their 4 sons, Thomas Jr. (Michelle), Michael (Kelly), Daniel (Carol), and Terence (Lisa) Ryan.
Proud pap of 10 grandchildren, Christina, Stephanie, Jennifer, Matt, Alex, Timothy, Jonathan, Katelyn, Marcus and Rachel Ryan; in addition to many loving nieces and nephews.
Tom spent most of his life in Brookline where he was a member of the Church of the Resurrection.
He graduated from South Hills High School in 1951, and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. Upon completion of basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Tom received advanced training in the Signal Corps at Fort Gordan, Georgia, and then served 18 months in Korea.
Upon completion of his military service, Tom worked for Bell Telephone for 40 years.
Arrangements by Beinhauers. Family and friends are welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 30.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 1, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Our Lady of Grace Church.
Internment immediately following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
