Benjamin Russell Remsing

Benjamin Russell Remsing, 26, of Holbrook, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at home following a lifelong illness.

He was born Tuesday, November 8, 1994, in Vancouver, Wash., a son of Richard Remsing and Karen Kiser Remsing of Holbrook.

Ben was Methodist by faith. He was a 2014 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.

Ben built his own sugar shack and enjoyed maple syrup with his family. He was a member of the Pine Hollow Hunting Club, and also really enjoyed being with children.

In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Katie (Andrew) Bassett, of Tampa, Fla., and Jessica (Lynyrd) Barrion, of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Chris (Katie) Remsing, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jon (Cody) Remsing, of Carmichaels, and Tim Remsing, of Waynesburg; a niece, Amara Barrion of Norfolk, Va.; paternal grandfather, Dale Remsing of Battleground, Wash.; and his maternal grandparents, Dr. Harvey and Janet Kiser of Manhattan, Kansas.

Deceased is his paternal grandmother, Mary Theresa Remsing.

There will be a greeting of friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of the Celebration of Life Service, on Friday, October 1, in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden Street, Waynesburg, with the Rev. William Parker officiating.

Burial will be private in the state of Washington.
