Richard R. Williams
Richard R. “Ricky” Williams, 66, of Washington, died Monday, September 27, 2021 in the Washington Hospital.
He was born May 18, 1955 in Washington, a son of the late Donald Hagan and Shirley Lowe Williams.
Ricky was a 1974 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and later attended the Culinary Institute.
Following high school, he enlisted in the Army in 1976 and served active and as a reserve for over three years.
Mr. Williams had worked for the American Brakeshoe, Brockway Glass, Shenango Steel, Consolidated Coal and the Meadows Casino.
He was a former member of the McDonald Elks, an avid Steeler fan, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Ricky is survived by his wife Shirley Vaughn Williams; a daughter Erica Williams of McDonald; a stepdaughter, Natasha Houston (David) of Penn Hills; three step grandchildren, Mahayla, Natalia, and David Houston; three brothers, Ernest Williams (Kelley) of Pittsburgh, Donald Hagan (Joanne) of Houston, and Melvin Hagan (Carolyn) of Canonsburg; four sisters, Rita Seals (Marvin) of Canonsburg, Charlotte Leach (Dennis) of High Point, S.C.; Jackie James (Lamont) of Pittsburgh, and Gloria Hagan of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A sister, Shirley Hagan is deceased.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Ricky’s name to the funeral home.
