Leonard R. Hooper
Leonard R. Hooper, 81, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at home.
He was born October 17, 1940, in Paris. The son of the late Harold and Frances Freshwater Hooper. Also preceded in death by his dog, Muffin.
Leonard was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church; 25 year club; WSX; B.P.O.E. No. 1801; American Legion Post No. 10; Weirton Marina; Richard Vaux Lodge No. 454 F. & A.M.; Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh.
Leonard served his country in the United State Air Force, Vietnam era.
He retired from the Strip Steel department, as Senior Cost Analyst, at Weirton Steel after nearly 40 years.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Patricia Suprek Hooper; sons, Delbert Armstrong, Michael Armstrong (Brooke), John Hooper (Rosa), Paul Hooper (Lynn), Mark Hooper (Jen); grandchildren, Kyle, Zachary, Alec, Cole, Jessica, Lauren, Nicholas, Gianna, Matthew, Ryan, Kaitlin, Victoria; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Hooper (Gloria); and his beloved dog, Bandit.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va..
Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Dr. Christina Hosler presiding.
Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence.
