Candy S. Stathers, 58, of Washington, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, in Premiere Washington Health Center.

She was born in Washington on January 12, 1964, daughter of the late Harry D. Bird, Jr., and Mitsuko Deshita Vasko.

Candy was a 1982 high school graduate in Brownsville, Texas.

She is survived by a son, Zachariah Stathers of Pa.; two grandchildren, Jase and Arianna of Florida; siblings, Kathleen A. (James) Bedillion, of Whiteville, N.C., Dennis (Noemi) Bird of Glenville, Mary Jane Vasko of Washington.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a son, Elijah Stathers.

Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 E. Maiden Street, Washington.
